Sponsored by Monty Holmes, owner and founder of Athletic Awards located in South Lake Union, the goal was to get local businesses and individuals to host competing food drives in support of Queen Anne Food Bank and to generate 10,000 pounds of donated and shelf stable food in just 10 days!

Monty and his employees were hoping to get enough donated food to figuratively fill the iconic trophy cup that sits on the roof of their building. With over 35 businesses and individuals participating and contributing food and cash (which, with QAFB’s wholesale buying power, generates 2.4 pounds for every $1 donated), the food drive generated over 25,000 pounds of food to feed our hungry neighbors!

The staff and volunteers at Queen Anne Food Bank wish to send a huge heartfelt note of gratitude to all the wonderful neighbors who worked so diligently to gather food, which will be redistributed to those who are the most in need right here in the South Lake Union, Queen Anne, and Belltown neighborhoods.

A  special thanks goes out to Seattle Printworks for donating all the printing for the event.
