Confidentiality and Security

The information that the Queen Anne Food Bank gathers through use of its web site and other communications tools is used solely to respond to inquiries, record and acknowledge contributions and inform viewers and correspondents of the Food Bank's activities. No personal information will be shared by Queen Anne Food Bank to anyone outside the organization. Access to any personal information collected is restricted to only those Food Bank personnel with the need to know.


Employees are prohibited from disclosing confidential or proprietary information that comes to their attention as a result of their employment with the Food Bank unless it is authorized in advance, within the normal execution of their job responsibilities, or as otherwise provide for by law. Confidential or proprietary information includes, but is not limited to, phone numbers, addresses, health conditions and the identity of individuals who have confidential appointments with Food Bank personnel.


Employees and volunteers who come into contact with protected health information in the course of conducting their job duties are required to treat this information confidentially and in accordance with applicable regulations. This includes confidential or personal information about customers, employees, volunteers and others served by the Food Bank. Employees and volunteers are bound by this requirement both during and after their employment or term of service with the Food bank.


Policy and Practice

It is the policy and practice of Queen Anne Food Bank to never sell, rent, exchange or in any other way provide correspondent or donor information to other charitable or commercial entities. Vendors that have temporary access to correspondent and donor information are expressly forbidden to copy, use or transfer any of this type information to any source for any reason.


Privacy Information

It is our desire to ensure complete security while transferring potentially sensitive and private information from your web browser to Queen Anne Food Bank’s computer system. For this reason donations are made through PayPal, our online partner for general donations.
